The Getty

In my continuing effort to spark the writing bug, and enjoy these purty So-Cal summers with Annika, we took a trip to the J. Nevertheless, good shit for sure.

Out fell a rabbit, cottontail-type, right there off coast of Los Angeles, like an offering from the gods, deus ex machina. And the rabbit fell, still kicking -- just barely. And Ellroy got his first rabbit -- albeit with the help of a very clumsy Red-tailed Hawk...

Eugene B. Sledge

"War to this lady meant John Wayne or the sweet musical South Pacific...I felt like some sort of alien, and I realized that this sort of thing would confront me the rest of my days."
